About This Site
A Quick History
This site was created in October 2003 by Mary Hanrahan to get the story of the Staples High School boys' cross country team up on the web and out to only her family at first. Then she opened it to the Staples community and the FCIAC running world. Over the next year, it grew to include the boys' indoor and outdoor seasons and, eventually, all of the girls' teams. With her third runner at Staples, she still maintains this site as an act of love and appreciation for this sport!
Photos
The many bizillion photos we have on the site have been contributed and uploaded tirelessly by our parents. Special thanks to all our early contributors but especially Michael Lonsdale who logged many, many hours taking photos in all sorts of weather. People wonder why some photos stay on the site...With space(money) limitations, choices have to be made. Typically the photos from the championship events stay on the site. As well, seniors and record breakers are often found on the season summary page.
